WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

As a Life Coach, I can help you to unleash your full potential in Christ, identify your goals and pursue your God-given dreams and visions to find your life calling and ways to put it into practice. I also offer success coaching and can therefore help you if you are struggeling financially or in your work situation.

Our potential is unleashed when we successfully get rid of performance-interfering destructive, negative thoughts and attitudes and replace them with constructive thoughts.

As your coach, I will help you to identify the beliefs that hold you back and then help you to challenge them and change them into constructive thoughts which are in line with the truth. I will motivate you and help build your confidence so that you can pursue your God-given dreams and visions.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

The method I mainly use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is based on the Biblical principle that how you think affects how you feel and behave: "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Prov.23:7.

The Bible teaches us that our main battleground is the mind. This is where strongholds of wrong thinking are built up and that is why we are exhorted in scripture to "gird up the loins of our minds" (1 Pet. 1:13), "cast down imaginations and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:5). By changing the way we think, we can therefore change the way we feel and act.

MY BACKGROUND

As a committed Christian of 23 years, who is studying for my BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology (which is almost finished), and as a trained Certified Life Coach and Cognitive Behavioural Counsellor (and a holder of a Diploma in Biblical Theology with Assemblies of God), I can offer a high level of counselling and coaching from a Christian world view, which means that you won't need to seek the help of a non-Christian coach or counsellor, which I know most Christians are reluctant to do.

I strongly believe that the modern concept of Christian Life Coaching can offer support and encouragement if you struggle as a Christian and help you to reach the great goal of Christian maturity and discipleship, without infringeing in any way on the role your Pastor plays in your life. Life Coaching will instead complement and undergird any spiritual or pastoral counselling you are receiving.
